Mail proxy
A mail proxy is a buffer between the Internet and your actual mail server. The mail proxy scans and monitors in- and outgoing mail for viruses and the content of the mail. This way spam and viruses are banned. Ask 84-IT, and you'll have your own mail proxy up and running in a jiffy. The proxy is built from open source components, so you won't be needing any expensive virus scanners and spam filters there.
Open source, of course
If possible, 84-IT chooses for open source solutions. This applies to the components of a mail proxy, but also to the tools with which we build websites, and the VOIP software we use. That's because open source solutions are high-quality and highly innovative. With open source, you act vendor-independently, and in many cases you get more value for money.
